WHAT is pantheraids?
PantheraIDS is a user-friendly downloadable software and online web app that allows wildlife scientists to better manage, explore, and analyze their data. Although originally designed for camera trap data, the program is currently being developed to incorporate telemetry data, observation data, and so much more.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO PANTHERAIDS?
At present, PantheraIDS is only available to Panthera scientists and active Panthera partners.
WILL PANTHERAIDS WORK ON MY COMPUTER?
PantheraIDS works on most operating systems (including Windows 10, iOS, Linux). Please note that as of January 2022, we will not support Windows Home computers.
Because of the large amounts of data PantheraIDS can handle, we recommend a computer with at least 16GB RAM (Random Access Memory) and a strong processor.

I USE A VARIETY OF CAMERA BRANDS FOR MY SURVEYS - CAN I STILL USE PANTHERAIDS?
Yes! PantheraIDS can process images from Panthera cameras and non-Panthera cameras.
I DON'T HAVE INTERNET WHEN I GO INTO THE FIELD - DOES PANTHERAIDS WORK OFFLINE?
Yes! PantheraIDS has online and offline capabilities. All PantheraIDS's tools are contained within the program, so all processing and analyzing can happen offline if need be.
IS THE ONLINE DATA STORAGE SERVER SECURE?
Yes. We on Panthera's Data Science team are passionate about data security. We use AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 256-bit encryption protocols - the strongest encryption standard - while data are at rest on the server and in transit. Within PantheraIDS, user permissions ensure data sets are only accessible to the appropriate PantheraIDS users.
IF I CHOOSE TO UPLOAD MY DATA TO THE SECURE SERVER, DOES PANTHERA OWN MY DATA?
